Product Information
A skinning knife is a specialized, short-bladed tool featuring a wide, curved edge designed to cleanly separate animal hide from the meat without puncturing the skin or damaging the flesh.
It is widely used by hunters, butchers, and trappers.
  • Design features:
- Curved blade (belly): Features a distinct upward curve that glides smoothly beneath the hide and prevents the tip from digging into the meat.
- Rounded or pointed tip: Prevents accidental punctures or tearing of the hide during long, forceful strokes.
- Short length: Typically features a compact blade for precise control and reduced hand fatigue.
- The plastic handle is ergonomically designed for a firm grip and reduced hand fatigue during prolonged use.

  • Safety and maintenance notes:
- Proper grip: Pinch the base of the blade firmly between your thumb and index finger while grasping the handle with the remaining fingers to ensure optimal control over the blade's movement.
- Sharpen periodically using a whetstone or specialized sharpener to address wear and maintain long-lasting sharpness. Regular sharpening reduces the physical effort required during use and prevents crushing the meat or fish fibers.
- Cleaning after use: Wash the knife by hand; do not use a dishwasher. Wash under warm running water with a little soap, then dry with a soft cloth or allow to air dry in a cool, well-ventilated area.
- Storage: Store in a knife block, on a wall-mounted magnetic strip, or in a drawer to prevent corrosion and preserve the blade's durability.
